Hartje, Seitz, Pasiechnyk, Ray Honored with Monthly Awards

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — ECAC Hockey has announced its women’s award winners for the month of February: Elle Hartje (Yale), Emma Seitz (Yale), Michelle Pasiechnyk (Clarkson), and Jordan Ray (Yale).

Forward of the Month

Elle Hartje (Jr., Yale) had an explosive month, putting up nineteen points in eight games during February. She scored four goals, including her first hat trick of the season in a 10-1 rout out of Harvard (February 18) that also saw her add two assists to close out the regular season with a five-point game. She also totaled 15 assists during the entire month, extending an existing four-game point streak into a 12-game streak that continued into March, and won 61.6% of her faceoffs.

Defender of the Month

Emma Seitz (Sr., Yale) had 11 points, including six goals and five assists, during an eight-game stretch in February.  She opened the month with two goals and an assist in a 10-1 win at Union (February 3), and followed it up with a power play game-winner the next day against Rensselaer (February 4). Throughout the month, Seitz had 39 shots on goal and blocked 10 shots, finishing with a +18 rating after being kept off the scoresheet in only one game.

Goaltender of the Month

Michelle Pasiechnyk (Jr., Clarkson) stood on her head during February, finishing the month with a 7-2-0 record and 221 saves under her belt. She opened the month with a 27-save shutout at Dartmouth (February 11), her ninth of the season, and closed out February with a 41-save performance in double overtime against Cornell during the league’s quarterfinal round. The very next weekend, she made 22 saves through four periods of hockey to topple Yale and boost her team to the league’s title game.

Rookie of the Month

Jordan Ray (Fr., Yale) has more than cemented herself as one of the league’s top forwards and top freshmen, tallying sixteen points during the month of February, courtesy of nine goals and seven assists. She opened the month with her first hat trick of the season against Union (February 3) and kept the ball rolling with five multi-point games, including a two-goal effort in the Bulldogs’ quarterfinal win over Harvard (February 24).
