Samoskevich Scores Game-Winner for Quinnipiac Over Providence

HAMDEN, Conn. – Maddy Samoskevich scored the game-winning-goal late in the third period to lift the Bobcats over Providence College on Tuesday night. 

QU and Providence played a tight first period, with the Bobcats having the edge 10-9 on shots in the frame. 

The second period was more of the same, with Felicia Frank making seven saves in the period. 
 

After Frank made several big stops in the third, Maddy Samoskevich scored on the power play to give the Bobcats their first lead of the game. 
 

STATS AND NOTES
  • Felicia Frank made her first collegiate start, getting her first shutout. 
  • She tallied 23 saves. 
  • Maddy Samoskevich scored her third goal of the season, all coming on the power play. 
  • It was the 14th goal her career. 
  • Jenna Donohue dished an assist for her third in the last two games.
