No. 7 Bobcats Shutout LIU

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — The No. 7 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey had its second consecutive shutout this afternoon, skating by LIU 1-0. 

The Bobcats had a few chances early, and capitalized on one when Kendall Cooper hit Kahlen Lamarche streaking through the neutral zone. Lamarche went in alone and found
the back of the net to give QU an early lead. 
 

Felicia Frank made several big stops between the second and third periods to keep the score at 1-0. 
 

STATS AND NOTES
  • Kahlen Lamarche scored her third goal of the season and 14th of her career.
  • Kendall Cooper tallied an assist to extend her point streak to three games.
  • Cooper is now tied for the team lead in points with 12. 
  • Maddy Samoskevich dished her fifth assist of the season. 
  • Felicia Frank made her third shutout of the season with 15 saves.
  • She leads all First Year goalies nationally in shutouts. 
  • QU now leads the country in team shutouts with eight this season. 
UP NEXT
The Bobcats are off this coming weekend but will host two top ten teams the following weekend in No. 10 Cornell and No. 5 Colgate.
