CALGARY, Alberta - Brown junior Jade Iginla was selected to the Canadian Women's National Development Team, Hockey Canada announced on Thursday. It will be the second-straight year Iginla has been selected to the team.
Iginla, who won gold at U18 Women's Worlds in 2022 will join the 24-player roster that is comprised of three goaltenders, eight defenders and 13 forwards. The team will play a three-game series against the United States from August 14-17 at Canada Games Park in Thorold, Ontario, Canada.
Last season, Iginla was named Second Team All-Ivy after leading the Bears with 16 goals and 27 points and ranked second on the team with 11 assists.
