Wilmer, Mayich, Lansing, and Korpi Claim ECAC Hockey Weekly Awards

DANBURY, CONN. – ECAC Hockey has selected the men’s weekly award winners for the week ending on October 6th, 2025: Jeremy Wilmer (Sr., Quinnipiac), Matthew Mayich (Fr., Clarkson), Matthew Lansing (Fr., Quinnipiac), and Cameron Korpi (So., Union).

Forward of the Week, presented by Bluebird Hotels 
Jeremy Wilmer (Sr., Quinnipiac) has earned the Forward of the Week title, presented by Bluebird Hotels. Hailing from Rockville Centre, New York, Wilmer scored the first goal of the 2025-26 season Friday night against No. 6 Boston College, propelling the Bobcats to a key 4-3 road win. He also went on to assist the Bobcats’ third goal in the second period. 

Defender of the Week
Matthew Mayich (Fr., Clarkson) has been honored with the ECAC Hockey Defender of the Week award. The Hamilton, Ontario defender netted his first collegiate goal on Friday night against Canisius.

#Bitcoin Rookie of the Week
Matthew Lansing (Fr., Quinnipiac) has been named the #Bitcoin Rookie of the Week. The former Fargo Force (USHL) forward scored his first collegiate goal on Friday against Boston College, helping the Bobcats secure their first win of the season.

MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week
Cameron Korpi (So., Union), a sophomore goaltender from South Lyon, Michigan, is the MAC Goaltender of the Week. Korpi began his career as a Garnet Charger on Saturday, October 5th, against Army. Korpi made 25 saves with a 0.962 save percentage, leading to a 1-1 tie.
