DANBURY, CONN. - With the final release of rosters for Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics ECAC Hockey is proud to announce that 26 current and former players will be representing the league in Italy. Clarkson leads all ECAC Hockey programs with seven players earning a spot on their respective national team rosters.
Three former ECAC hockey players will serve on Team Canada’s support staff: Stefanie Thomson (Union ’14) as Video Coach, Gina Kingsbury (St. Lawrence ’04) as General Manager, and Britni Smith (St. Lawrence ’06) as an assistant coach. Current Quinnipiac Women’s Assistant Coach Brent Hill will serve as assistant coach for the US Women’s Olympic Team.
Canada features 12 ECAC Hockey players from seven different institutions. General Manager Gina Kingsbury said, “We are confident we have selected a highly motivated and eager group who take great pride and passion in wearing the Maple Leaf. It has been a long four-year journey for our entire team, and we are excited for the opportunity to compete for a gold medal at the Olympics.”
Women’s Hockey will begin on February 5 to 19 at both the Milano Rho Arena and Milan Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena. Group A consists of Canada, Czechia, Finland, Switzerland and the United States, while Group B will consist of Japan, Sweden, Germany, Italy, and France. The Gold Medal game is scheduled for Thursday, February 19 at 1:10 PM ET.
