Aubin, D’Ottavio, Helge, Bellissimo Claim ECAC Hockey Weekly Awards

DANBURY, CONN. – ECAC Hockey has selected the women’s weekly award winners for the week ending on October 6th, 2026: Alexia Aubin (Jr., Colgate), Aynsley D’Ottavio (Jr., Quinnipiac), Maja Helge (Fr., St. Lawrence) and Sadie Bellissimo (Fr., RPI).

High Peaks Resort Forward of the Week
Alexia Aubin (Jr., Colgate) has been named the High Peaks Resort Forward of the Week. The Quebec native had a great start to her junior year in the Raiders weekend series against RIT. Friday night at RIT, Aubin netted the fifth goal of the game as well as three assists for four points in Colgate's 6-3 win. The next night in their home rink, the junior found the back of the net twice for two points in the 4-2 win, propelling Colgate to a 2-0-0 start to the season.

Defender of the Week
Aynsley D’Ottavio (Jr., Quinnipiac) has been named the ECAC Hockey Defender of the Week. The defender from Rosedale, British Columbia, was crucial on the blueline for the Bobcats. In their home opener Friday night against Providence, D’Ottavio assisted teammate Avery Bairos for the first goal of the night just 2:22 into the game on the power play. The next day in Providence, the junior racked up three points, scoring one goal and tallying two assists in the Bobcats' 6-1 win, closing out the weekend 2-0-0 and remaining 4-0.

Rookie of the Week Presented by Just Play
Maja Helge (Fr., St. Lawrence) has been named Rookie of the Week Presented by Just Play following her first career win. The Swedish native took the net for the second time for the Saints against the Maine Black Bears on Saturday night. Helge has a 32-save shutout, propelling the Saints to their first win of the season, defeating Maine 3-0. 

MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week
Sadie Bellissimo (Fr., RPI) has been awarded the MAC Goaltender of the Week award. The freshman goalie put on an impressive display in net in her second career start against No. 5 Northeastern. The Colorado native made 41 saves with one goal against for a 0.970% save percentage, sending RPI into overtime, where she secured the win for the Engineers and took down the ranked Huskies.
