DANBURY, CONN. – ECAC Hockey has selected the men’s weekly award winners for the week ending on October 27th, 2025: Jack Brandt (So., Colgate), Tristan Sarsland (Sr., Clarkson), Markus Vidicek (Fr. Quinnipiac), and Shane Soderwall (Jr., Clarkson).
Forward of the Week, presented by Bluebird Hotels
Jack Brandt (So., Colgate) has earned the Forward of the Week title, presented by Bluebird Hotels. The Ohio native found the back of the net three times over the weekend against No. 10 Maine. Friday night, Brandt capitalized on a power play to open up scoring 1-0, helping lead the Raiders to upset the Black Bears. The next night, Brandt did the same thing, scoring the first goal on a power play. He found the back of the net again to make it 2-0, bringing his league-leading total to five.
Defender of the Week
Tristan Sarsland (Sr., Clarkson) has been honored with the ECAC Hockey Defender of the Week award. The senior hailing from Wayzata, Minnesota, played a crucial role in Clarkson taking down No. 8 North Dakota on Friday night. Sarsland opened up the second period by lifting the puck over the left shoulder of the North Dakota goalie to score the game-winning goal. He later assisted his teammate to score the final goal of the night for the big 5-2 win.
#Bitcoin Rookie of the Week
Markus Vidicek (Fr., Quinnipiac) has been named the #Bitcoin Rookie of the Week. The freshman forward took advantage of a power play and opened up scoring in Quinnipiac's 4-1 win over Holy Cross on Tuesday night. He then tallied an assist in each game over the weekend against Merrimack and UNH.
MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week
Shane Soderwall (Jr., Clarkson) is the MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week. The Anchorage Wolverines alum went 1-1-0 this week against No. 8 North Dakota. Over the weekend, Soderwall made a total of 45 saves with a 0.938 save percentage and 1.51 average.
