DANBURY, CONN. – ECAC Hockey is proud to announce that 75 former student-athletes representing 11 member institutions were named to PWHL opening night rosters. Clarkson, Colgate, and Quinnipiac lead all ECAC programs with the highest number of alumni earning spots out of training camp.
The New York Sirens retained all 14 ECAC Hockey players from training camp. They will open the 2025–26 regular season against the Ottawa Charge—who feature seven ECAC Hockey alumni—at TD Place on Saturday, November 22.
The Toronto Sceptres, boasting eight former ECAC Hockey players, will face the defending champion Minnesota Frost (six ECAC alumni) in St. Paul tonight at 7 p.m.
The Boston Fleet opening night roster features nine ECAC alumni. "We've built a roster that reflects exactly who we want to be as a team—fast, physical, and relentless in every zone," said Fleet General Manager Danielle Marmer (Quinnipiac '17). The Fleet will open the 2025-26 season hosting the Montreal Victoire, who list eight ECAC alumni, Sunday, November 23.
Each of the league's two expansion teams will face off in their inaugural matchup. The Vancouver Goldeneyes feature 13 former ECAC Hockey players and will host the Seattle Torrent, whose roster also includes nine ECAC Hockey alumni. Vancouver General Manager Cara Gardner Morey, former Princeton head coach, said, "Our roster for the 2025–26 season is fast, physical, and skilled, with a solid defensive foundation and an exciting forward corps. We can't wait to introduce this group to Vancouver when they take to the ice for our first game tomorrow at the Pacific Coliseum."
