Leaney, Regalado, le Scodan, Corniea Claim ECAC Hockey Weekly Awards

DANBURY, CONN. – ECAC Hockey has selected the women’s weekly award winners for the week ending on November 25th, 2025: Maddie Leaney (Jr., Union), Alyssa Regalado (Sr., Cornell), Manon le Scodan (Fr., Clarkson), and Uma Corniea (Jr., Princeton).

Forward of the Week, presented by Bluebird Hotels
Maddie Leaney (Jr., Union) earns Forward of the Week honors, presented by Bluebird Hotels. The junior from British Columbia scored a hat trick and the overtime game winner on Friday night to lead the Garnet Chargers to a 4-3 overtime upset over No. 4 Cornell, marking the first top-five victory in Union’s program history. Leaney became the first player in Union's program history to register multiple hat tricks. Her overtime winner brings her career total to seven game-winning goals, tying her for first in program history. The following afternoon, Leaney found the back of the net to put the Garnet Chargers on the board, but it was not enough as they fell 3-2 to No. 13 Colgate in overtime.

ADAPT Nutrition Defender of the Week
Alyssa Regalado (Sr., Cornell) has been named the ADAPT Nutrition Defender of the Week. The senior defender from Mississauga, Ontario, had herself a multi-point weekend over Union and RPI. Friday night, Regalago tallied an assist on the Big Red’s second goal, later taking advantage of the power play scoring the game-tying goal to force the game into overtime. Despite her efforts, the Big Red fell to Union in overtime, 4-3. The next afternoon, she secured two more points, posting a goal and an assist. The Big Red hit the road to face Syracuse tonight in a non-conference matchup.

Rookie of the Week
Manon le Scodan (Fr., Clarkson) claims Rookie of the Week recognition. The French forward found the back of the net for Clarkson's second goal on Friday night, only 5:22 into the first period. The Golden Knights went on to win 4-2. Saturday afternoon, le Scodan tallied an assist on the first and second goals for the Golden Knights, helping lead her team to a 3-2 win over No. 14 Yale. Clarkson heads to the nation's capital for D1 in DC, where they will face off against Ohio State and St. Cloud University this weekend.

MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week
Uma Corniea (Jr., Princeton) has been awarded the MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week award. The junior goaltender went 2-0-0 this weekend against No. 7 Quinnipiac with a 0.958 save percentage. Friday night, Corniea made 28 saves for a 0.903 save percentage, helping the Tigers to a dramatic 4-3 overtime win. The following afternoon, Corniea was locked in, shutting out the Bobcats in Connecticut with a career high 40 saves for a 2-0 win and her second shutout of the season.
