Kraft, Santilli, Svartström, and Cournoyer Claim ECAC Hockey Weekly Awards

DANBURY, CONN. – ECAC Hockey has selected the men’s weekly award winners for the week ending on January 26th, 2026: Jake Kraft (Jr., Cornell), Luke Santilli (Fr., St. Lawrence), Rasmus Svartström (Fr., St. Lawrence), and Alexis Cournoyer (Fr., Cornell).

Laurel Lake Placid Forward of the Week
Jake Kraft (Jr., Cornell) claims Laurel Lake Placid Forward of the Week honors. The former Cedar Rapids RoughRiders (USHL) was a critical player for the Big Red in their weekend sweep. Kraft scored the only goals in Cornell's 2-1 win over Dartmouth. He found the back of the net in the second period to tie the game 1-1, then scored the game-winning goal 34 seconds into overtime. Kraft did not stop there as he opened up scoring in the second period against Harvard on Saturday afternoon. After the weekend, the Big Red currently sit in fourth place in the ECAC standings and will hit the road to face Yale and Brown this weekend.

ADAPT Nutrition Defender of the Week
Luke Santilli (Fr., St. Lawrence) has been honored with the ADAPT Nutrition Defender of the Week award. The Massachusetts native was prominent from the blue line over the weekend. Santilli scored the Saints' second goal, his first collegiate goal, and later tallied an assist in a 5-5 with Clarkson. The next night the Saints prevailed, beating the Golden Knights 5-2, where Santilli posted a goal.

Rookie of the Week
Rasmus Svartström (Fr., St. Lawrence) claims Rookie of the Week recognition. The Finnish forward had an impressive weekend for the Saints. Friday night, the Saints went up the road to face Clarkson in the Route 11 Rivalry, where Svartström found the back of the net twice in the 5-5 tie. The next day, the Saints hosted Clarkson, winning 5-2, as Svartström scored two goals and tallied one assist. The Saints picked up five crucial points and will host Quinnipiac and Princeton this weekend.

MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week
Alexis Cournoyer (Fr., Cornell) is the MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week. The Montreal Canadiens draft pick went 2-0-0 this weekend against Dartmouth and Harvard at home, making a total of 32 saves while allowing only two goals for a .941 save percentage. On January 14, Cournoyer was named to the 2026 Mike Richter Award Watch List.
