DANBURY, CONN. – ECAC Hockey has selected the women’s weekly award winners for the week ending on February 24th, 2026: Sam Broz (Jr., Brown), Kaley MacDonald (Jr., Harvard), Taylor Senecal (Fr., Colgate), and Emma Rhéaume (Fr., Union).
Laurel Lake Placid Forward of the Week
Sam Broz (Jr., Brown) claims Laurel Lake Placid Forward of the Week honors. In the opening round of the ECAC playoffs against Dartmouth, Broz tallied an assist on the Bears' first goal of the night and went on to add another in the dominant 7-2 win. The Bears advance to the quarterfinals, where they will battle Quinnipiac in a three-game series for a spot in Lake Placid.
ADAPT Nutrition Defender of the Week
Kaley MacDonald (Jr., Harvard) has been named the ADAPT Nutrition Defender of the Week. The Deerfield Academy alum came in clutch this past Saturday when the Crimson faced St. Lawrence for a spot in the quarterfinals. MacDonald tallied an assist on Harvard's game-tying goal and then scored the game-winner less than four minutes into overtime. The Crimson advance to a best-of-three quarterfinal series against Princeton for a spot in Lake Placid.
Rookie of the Week
Taylor Senecal (Fr., Colgate) claims Rookie of the Week recognition. The rookie defender tallied two assists for the Raiders and was +4 in the opening round win over RPI. The Raiders defeated the Engineers 4-2 and will head to Ithaca to face Cornell in a best-of-three series.
MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week
Emma Rhéaume (Fr., Union) has been awarded the MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week award after her impressive performance in the ECAC opening round on Friday night. The Québec native stood on her head, making a total of 39 saves in an upset of nationally-ranked No. 12 Clarkson to advance to the Quarterfinals. The Garnet Chargers will face No. 8 Yale in a three-game series to battle for a spot in Lake Placid.
