Iginla, Boyle, Davis, Corniea Claim ECAC Hockey Weekly Award

DANBURY, CONN. – ECAC Hockey has selected the women’s weekly award winners for the week ending on February 3rd, 2026: Jade Iginla (Sr., Brown), Molly Boyle (Fr., Yale), Brooke Davis (Fr., Colgate), and Uma Corniea (Jr., Princeton).

Laurel Lake Placid Forward of the Week
Jade Iginla (Sr., Brown) claims Laurel Lake Placid Forward of the Week honors. The captain, hailing from British Columbia, was a key player in the Bears' weekend sweep over Union and RPI. Friday night at Union, Iginla took advantage of the power play for a second period strike to get the Bears on the board. Almost ten minutes later, she found teammate Victoria Damiani with an assist, helping the Bears to a 7-3 win. The next day, Iginla potted the eventual game winner just 5:31 into the game and added a second tally just before the end of the first period in what would be a 4-0 win over RPI.

ADAPT Nutrition Defender of the Week
Molly Boyle (Fr., Yale) has been named the ADAPT Nutrition Defender of the Week. The Phillips Andover alum played a key role from the blue line, helping the Bulldogs extend their win streak to eleven. Friday night at RPI, Boyle tallied a career-best four assists, in an 8-2 win. The next day against Union, Boyle put the Bulldogs on the board 1:53 into the second period of a game that Yale went on to win 5-2. Boyle currently has the third-most assists in the ECAC among freshmen players. Yale looks to continue their win streak as they host Clarkson and St. Lawrence this weekend.

Rookie of the Week
Brooke Davis (Fr., Colgate) claims Rookie of the Week recognition. The rookie netminder made 24 saves Friday night against Harvard to complete her third career shutout. So far this season, Davis has made 510 saves on 552 shots for a .924 save percentage. Colgate looks to stay in the win column as they will host Union and RPI this weekend.

MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week
Uma Corniea (Jr., Princeton) has been awarded the MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week award. The Minnesota native was a brick wall in between the pipes, going 2-0-0. Friday night, Corniea made 30 saves to pick up the  2-0 shutout win over St. Lawrence. This was Princeton's seventh shutout on the season and just one shy of the program record set in the 2002-03 season. The next night at Clarkson, Corniea made a career-high 43 saves and allowed only one goal for a 6-1 win, finishing the weekend with a .986 save percentage.
