DANBURY, CONN. – ECAC Hockey has released its highly anticipated 2026-27 women's league schedule, setting the stage for another intense season of college hockey.
The road for the ECAC Hockey regular season title will take place over the league’s traditional 132-game slate, beginning on October 23 and concluding with the ECAC Hockey Women's Championships March 5-6 in Lake Placid, NY.
As is league tradition, the regular season schedule features the most balanced schedule in the nation where each program plays its 11 competitors once at home and once on the road throughout the course of the year.
Last season, the Yale Bulldogs and Princeton TIgers were crowned ECAC Hockey Regular Season Co-Champions each with 46 points. Quinnipiac and Cornell claimed the remaining two opening round byes.
All four top seeds advanced to the first Championship Weekend to be hosted in Lake Placid with Yale and Cornell sweeping their quarterfinal series while Quinnipiac and Princeton advanced in three games.
The Bulldogs faced off against the Big Red in the first semifinal matchup, earning a 7-2 victory, while Quinnipiac knocked off Princeton in a tight 2-1 overtime win, setting up a Bulldogs vs Bobcats championship matchup.
The following afternoon, the Bobcats took home their first league title in ten years with a convincing 5-1 championship victory at 1980 Herb Brooks Arena.
The league’s playoff structure remains as follows for 2026-27:
- Opening Round – One game hosted by 5-8 seeds vs. 9-12 seeds
- Quarterfinals – Best-of-three series hosted by 1-4 seeds vs. winners of Opening Round games
- Championship Weekend – Semifinals and Final (Lake Placid, NY)
The ECAC Women’s Hockey schedule is subject to change and game times will be provided closer to the season. The non-conference portion of the 2026-27 schedule will be added to the league site once all ECAC Hockey teams announce their own non-conference schedules.
